An Oriental Medicine Clinic For Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis (AR), commonly referred to as hay fever, is a highly prevalent yet underappreciated inflammatory disorder of the nose and throat caused by hypersensitivity to a variety of elements such as pollen, dust mites, fungal spores, animal hair, fumes, chemicals and certain foods. The condition characterized by pruritus, sneezing and nasal congestion is one of the leading causes of health-related absenteeism and presenteeism in the workplace. Although modern medicine with desensitization therapy, antihistamines and anti-inflammatory drugs improve symptoms and immune regulation, these medications have many undesirable side effects.
